Words try to wrap
themselves around
the senses
pushing feelings
forward
signalling something
in the brain
mentally
rather than
physically.
For from the written word alone
you can't smell a rose
touch silk
be shouted at
taste chocolate
you see the words themselves
not the view
So forgive my attempts
at striking a match
to your brain
but I am trying
and maybe
something will spark.
