We may live to regret

we will live to regret

some of what we say

or do

but I for one

try to balance it out

with what I say to you.

Not all the time I'm perfect

not even very close

but when I snap

getting mad

stick a pin

in  your skin

I'll try to

take it out

forget the pain,

treat me the same

so when you

or I 

are gone

we'll know

that what we had

might not have been perfect

but it was

possibly 

close.

wearing away
as a river

Then picked back up
laugh it off
insist its a joke
no harm done
