The Difference of Scared and Fear

I have never felt fear for myself
but for those whom I love
if something terrible happens
the kind of things that you don't speak of.

I have felt scared on my own
countless times, it's just me
and my own life
the reasoning and emotion
no where near as deep

When stuck in the dark
the heart tightens
a fist around the veins
but without them here
nothing would be the same
and that thought
nearly makes me insane.

The Darkness of Worry

Exam results tomorrow which determine whether or not I get in to uni o.o
I feel sick.

No words
just darkness.
No sound
just worry.
I am stuck
drowning.

Worst of all
I am stuck
on my own
trying to get out
of my tortured world.

Sharks in the Deep End

When I was younger
I feared sharks
in the deep end of the pool.

I sat on top of
the washing machine
to see dad
when Harry fought Voldemort.
inside Hogwarts school.

I left a can of Pepsi

when a wasp climbed in
and always avoided
them swarming around
an open top bin.

Scaring me isn't too hard
I can easily
be caught off guard
but maybe
if I have friend,
I can take the plunge
in to the deep end.

PS - Note of interest. The swimming pool in the picture was the one I went to when I was little  :')

Fleeting Youth

Feeling of youth
is fleeting
Soon to be greedily
consumed
by years.
Fears
not so much of grey
or wrinkles
but of slowly
breaking down.

Don't think of this
until you see,
barely,
living proof.

Darkness

Fear of the dark
is not the darkness itself
but the fear of the unknown
if there's something
hidden
in the midst of the shadows.

Fear of death
is not the death itself
but fear of the unknown
if there's nothing
or something
for our so called souls
to end up in.

I'll try shine a torch
in that darkness
hold on to some hope.
Let's try to be brave.

Fear Is

A painfully thudding heartbeat
Hands beginning to sweat
Thoughts assuming the worst
Wasps
Judgement
Horror films
Disease
Dying
Dying alone
Darkness
Always darkness
No time
to think
to live.

Just to be clear I do write these. Feel free to leave comments on what you think, it would be much appreciated.
