Page Door

So I'm reading the City of Fallen Angels, which arrived today. The Mortal Instruments is one of my favourite series, I love reading them and it inspires me with my own writing (novel, story, whatever you want to call it) I would highly recommend them to any one. Especially those who became disillusioned with Twilight as I once was. The writing is incredible and it's an original idea. 

It opens 
with ease
no creaking
for this is new
not a return


I step
in to new place
slowly taking shape
the further in 
I go.
Strangers
become characters
you get to know.


A second door
in to those characters'
heads
follow their thoughts
follow the story
get lost
and don't open either 
door
for a while.
